|THE CATS LEAGUE FOX11|
The Cats League FOX11 (CLFOX11) begins their 7th season at fantrax sponsored by Webpage Creations with their own league webpage on the Internet for years to come.
The Cats League FOX11 began in 2011 at fantrax combining The Cats League2 from CBS Sports and Cats League at FOX Sports into a new 12-team, 3-division league with 8 of 12 teams making the playoff format. Tequila Cats19 with team owner Cliff Wollum became the champion in a fantastic championship game. In 2012 with changes in scoring, scheduling, and addition of a few new team owners the Cats League FOX11 conducted season 2 with Cubbies Fan with team owner Justin Gephart winning the championship. In 2013 Tiger Stryper with team owner Bob Strickland became the new champions. And in 2014 the 4th different team Miller Liteweights with team owner Chris Weir were the league champions. In 2015 the fifth different team captured the league title as Saskalta Crackercats along with team owner Chris McGirr notched the title and then in 2016 the 6th different team won the league championship as Wildcats 2 with team owner Patrick Dettmer prevailed.
Each team in the division plays their rivals in 4 round robins during Games 2 - 4, 8 - 10, 14 - 16 and 21 - 23 or 12 games and will play 11 non-division games or once against 5 non-divisional teams and 2-times against the other 3 non-divisional teams. The regular season consists of 23 games including Game 1 lasting 8-days and the All-Star short week Game 16 that's 3-day weekend series for all MLB teams. The playoffs will last the final 3-weeks with 8 teams participating.
The league live draft is scheduled for Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. EST and will consist 18 rounds to fill the roster of 24 players with each team able to keep 6 keeper players from 2016 roster. The draft order is the result of the regular season standings the previous season with tie breakers.
The one change in league settings in 2017 and for the sake of the short All-Star game period, the minimum SP (starts) has dropped from 4 to 3 and RP (relief appearances) has dropped from 3 to 2. Remember, any pitcher that starts a game from RP, SP or P slot is credited with SP. Also any pitcher making a relief appearance (RP) is credited with RP.
